Project Teams Thrive When the Road Map is Clear: 4 Keys to Success

To operate efficiently, project teams need more than clear goals…they need to know how each and every team member is supposed to achieve those goals.

Based upon Project Post Mortem Best Practices, make sure that the following questions have been answered to every team member’s satisfaction:
  1. Do you know your role and responsibility in achieving the project goals and how this will contribute to the organization as a whole?
  2. Do you understand the guidelines of how we will operate as a project team in terms of regular communications and making decisions?
  3. Have we established as a project team what sustains and drives us to succeed? Do we agree on values and do we all accept the standards of respect for all, open and honest communication, and the principle that cooperation benefits us all?
  4. Are we in agreement on how and when our project performance will be measured? Do we accept that the metrics will be fair and transparent…whether good or bad?
Establish a clear and agreed-upon project road map for how your team intends to achieve its goals and your project will have a much great chance of success.
